Hey, i recently got an Ipad and soon realised things are not as straight forward on IOS as it is on android. If you check out the link to a thread on this same topic, I can catagorically say that the method I describe worked. I didn't get any response from the user who was asking after I said to try it again?

Like a lot of things like this, sometimes you just got to turn things on and off to reboot, but as I say it definitely works for me. Also just as a last point to note, make sure the the IP address is correct, so it will be something like 192.056.368 so just the numbers and stops is all you need, good luck

I can't put any screenshots

I can't put any screenshots on here, they would have to be taken form a website. But if you have a dropbox you can send it to me and I will let you have a document which has screenshots of the steps

You only need Host, Login,

You only need Host, Login, Password and Port which you get from Caustic FTP Server in the app.

Perhaps its destined not to

Perhaps its destined not to work. It said checking for a really long time then gave me the check your internet connection/host name. Both of those are good. Now it doesnt even try.

Closed the apps restarted the phone updated documents. Still nothing

Ok, @music...

Ok, @music...

Title = Caustic

Host = this will be your IP address ( example would be 192.35.0.14 each device will have a different address)

Login = Caustic

Password = connect

Encoding = DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING

Port = 3131

Login Path = DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING

Something I have noticed with my iOS device is that sometimes for whatever reason the Caustic app can be slow to pick up the correct IP address, so you have to make sure that the fields in the Caustic connect tab, does have the proper IP Address, sometimes when I have switched WiFi addresses, this will show as 0.0.0.0 so this is a null IP address

I received an iPad 5th

I received an iPad 5th generation for Christmas. This is my first Apple product so I’m on a learning curve. This is the way I easily transferred all my Caustic files from my PC to my iPad. First, I fired up Caustic on the iPad and started the ftp server in Caustic. Next, on the PC I opened the file explorer and in the address bar typed “ftp://(the server address from Caustic on the iPad):3131” (the port) and hit <enter>. After a few seconds the “user” “password” dialogue popped up. Here is where I entered “caustic” and then “connect”. Bam! There’s my Caustic folder on my iPad. After that I opened another file explorer window on my PC, went to my Caustic folder in Documents, and copy and pasted into the other file explorer with my iPad Caustic folder open, all the files and FOLDERS I wanted. It took a few minutes to transfer everything and I learned to not let the screen on the iPad go to sleep as that seemed to cause the Caustic server to stop.
