Hello.

Hello.

You made me realise that I need a new way to listen to all the new caustic tracks.

There's no caustic group, no caustic repost, no caustic radio show, and going through the show and tell takes too many clicks.

Where's the music at!  Anyone got any good ideas?

I think Facebook Ads are a

I think Facebook Ads are a way to reach listeners in your niche/genre....but those cost real money.  If you can find somebody that knows what they are doing with marketing using social media, then maybe that's a good route to go.

Other things I've tried:  made Caustic Replay T-Shirts, and wore them when I'd walk the beaches during everyone's spring break (no way to measure effectiveness).  Visited restaurants where you could write on the walls or the tables and I drew my logo (fun, but odds are my niche listeners aren't going to the same restaurant).  Asked Facebook friends to follow & share (good for only 1 or 2 courtesy shares, then they lose interest).  YouTube postings:  I get infrequent views.

What bands that I follow do:  Facebook pages...they are constantly posting.  There's always something new to read, listen to, link to follow, photos to see, videos to watch.  Otherwise the page is boring, and I move on.  I'm guilty of that on my own 'official' CR Facebook page.  I just don't have the time to create quality content and market it.  I'm not even sure I want to whenever I get back into making tunes.  It's the wrong motivation for music.  I started making music because it was enjoyable, therapeutic, relaxing, yet also exciting.  Trying to market it and failing again & again became somewhat of a drag, and it killed my motivation I think to make time to make more music.

Be careful that doesn't happen to you.  The healing process is long.  Look how long it's been since I was regularly active around here.  I'm just starting to get back.

That's too bad to hear man, I

That's too bad to hear man, I know you have a passion for disseminating things.

Also, I think you were ahead of your time. These days and th next 10 years is going to see a huge paradigm shift.

With more independent programmers and things that allow more independent solutions, the islands major companies had will errode into more states and countries which means more spread out opportunities for lower "class".

I could easily make an app that could link a Caustic group together but now, I face the same problem, people are still used to the man's way and things have to grow on an organic level where people see the value in supporting real causes that benefit them.
