Please help me! I am naive and might have destroyed Caustic...

I have been using Caustic for approximately 3 years now, but I only realized yesterday that there has been an update for quite some time (my friend downloaded it and I realized my version lacked many features). I got a new laptop with Windows 10 a few months ago and the first thing I did was copy all of my Caustic files onto it, so I have apparently been using version 3.1. Just about an hour ago I used the "Windows 7, 8, 10 Installer EXE" to download the newest version. Now if I click on the Caustic icon I get this: "The program can't start because MSVCP120.dll/MSVCR120.dll is missing from your computer." What did I do wrong? Can I fix the problem easily or is there a way I can restore my old version? Thank you!

I had same problem and the

I had same problem and the standalone version helped out, but there was a tiny problem though..
Each time I want to launch the standalone version, I need goto the zip folder before I could launch it..
Finally I found out how to fix the error of the Other caustic 3.2 missing msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll.
I simply copied the msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll files in the standalone zip folder and paste it in the system folder were it's missing..
You can locate the system folder following this steps:-

-- Goto Computer in the start Menu
-- Open the (C:)
-- Locate the windows folder and open it
-- Locate the system32 folder for 32bit windows user and SysWOW64 for 64bit windows user..

-- And paste the copied msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll files you earlier copied.

-- After that restart your PC and reinstall the original caustic 3.2 version..
That's all..
Find below the standalone version of caustic 3.2 and copy the Msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll files

Could you help me? it turns

Could you help me? it turns out that I had the same problem with the msvcp120.dll files and I solved it as you say and the error message no longer appears. The problem now is that it is very slow! This problem has nothing to do with my computer because it has a ram of 4 GB and Windows 8 of 64 bits ....... in general everything runs very well .... caustic is the only program that runs too slow how do I solve this?
