Battle of the Oscillators

This is an almost finished track. I kind of went wild with this one, experimenting with 3 different basses from 3 different machines at different widths. I need to adjust a few things still but my ears are fatigued now and can't fine tune for a while. Hope you likes da wubs!

Spreading the bass gives a great vibe and also a great way to fill the spectrum;)

in some parts the rythm is a bit off but I guess those are some of the things you still wanted to adjust. apart from I really like it a lot! it flows :D also it has a nice warm feeling to it for some reason (might be the sun shining on me right now as well ^^). well whatever I just like it :)

Yeah Josh, I eq'd in some

Yeah Josh, I eq'd in some high frequency on it but other than that it's the same kick.

@Xenoplas, what parts are the rhythm off? There is a section where I start without a kick and snare, for that delayed bass hit feel. But if it threw you off then I want to fix that. I'm not quite happy with the arrangement anyway.

@Mek right in the intro there

@Mek right in the intro there's that soft pluck lead (I can't describe it any better). the last note of every loop (the second of those two highest) is a very little bit too late if I hear it correctly. also one of the wobbles could be a little bit faster but that's the fault of the lfo of caustic since I'm not talking about twice as fast but about a speed of about *1.001. problem has something to do with attack speed. I had this myself as well before.

why are you not happy with the arrangement though? I think you did a pretty job there!

Good catch on the pluck, It

Good catch on the pluck, It was actually a 32nd early. I'm looking into the Wobbles. With arrangement I almost feel it gets a little too experimental in the middle and listeners might get lost, I don't know.. Never tried this complex of patterns before. Thanks for the input, it has really helped, always good to get more sets of ears on a track before finalizing it.

Yeah the second wobble starts

Yeah the second wobble starts with a long attack, I tried changing the waveform to a sawtooth but it didn't sound right. Probably need custom LFO envelopes to get it just right. So I think instead of the wobble starting at the start of the sine wave it needs to start at the apex of it. Is that what you are thinking?

Glad you managed to find them

Glad you managed to find them ;) And yes that's exactly what I was thinking. Back to the arrangement It certainly is rather complex in some parts especially those with the wobbles. but that's not directly a bad thing. overall imo it's not really too complex but I guess I'm used to very complex songs from the music I listen too so if this is how you fell about it you should definitely do it :)
